starting tomorrow 1/27/12 at costco they will be selling AMC two tickets for $11.99. The sale will end 1/29/12. I repeat it starts 1/27/12

2 gold AMC movie tickets at costco for $15.99 (normal price) minus $4 instant coupon at the cash register = 2 gold tickets for $12.

gold tickets are usually unrestricted, no expiration date but will cost extra for 3D movies.

JAN 1/27 thru 1/29 LIMIT 10

You do not Need to be a Costco member to purchase them online but you do need to create a new account with them and you will be charged 4 $ extra ....NOT TRUE
Put the desired quantity of tickets in your cart, and go to checkout. Fill out the new registration, as if you were joining, with an email address and everything. THEN add 111778159721 on the Membership ID line. Thanks Worldco for the number.

Gold Ticket
*Covers price of NORMAL ticket (you will be charged whatever upcharge there is for 3D, IMAX, or IMAX 3D)
*No Restrictions (meaning you can use even for movies that say 'no passes')
*No expiration date

I bought 10 2 packs of these tickets at Costco Galleria in Houston. The greeter at the door had one of the cardboard sales vouchers. Inside, there were a bunch of vouchers on display near the front entrance. You only need one voucher, then tell the cashier the quantity that you want to purchase. Per, a Costco manager type, there is NO LIMIT, but there IS A LIMIT OF 10 rebates per member. At checkout, there was NO SALES TAX CHARGED!! The physical tickets are located in the secure storage area, and a manager type hands out the tickets and initials the sales slip over the line showing the tickets sold.

Actually buying at local store 2-pack for $12 is cheaper upto 10 packs (i.e. 10 tickets for $60 compared to $63 online). Here is the link at costco website, showing the prices.

But don't they add the rewards points at the ticket window? You bypass the ticket window with these things. Where would you add points? At least that's how it worked with moviewatcher. BTW, is stubs worth it? Isn't there a cost to belong?
I figure these can bypass the ticket window, but I still go up to it anyway and get real "stubs" and they add I think $7 or $8 to my stubs account, which is the "minimum price" i guess of a movie ticket, which is still better than nothing and more than what I paid.

As for stubs, I got it for free for 1 year because I was in the movie watcher club, but honestly I don't think I'll mind forking over $12 for another year when the trial is done. Its basically a "reward zone" type deal where if you spend $100, you get $10 back. Plus theres deals for stubs only, like the free ICEE deal they did, and also if you buy a small popcorn with a stubs card, or small drink, you get a "teensy bit" bigger popcorn or soda, lol. The difference is so abysmal at my local theatre, but hey, at least I get my 10 or so extra popcorn kernels per bag lmfao

My friend has a costco membership but i dont. So he ordered 4 sets of 10's. He got the email confirmation. Lets hope it ships!
I'd be interested in hearing whether his order makes it through fulfillment and gets shipped. They're supposedly limiting these to two per member #.

If you REALLY want more than two 10 packs then all you have to do is register for a new account and pay an additional $4.15 per 10pack, which I thought it was still worth it compared to nyc ticket prices. Ordered four 10packs myself so this should definately last me for awhile lol

Obviously, though the deal loses some of the luster (just some; we're still talking about $6.70 vs. $11.00 after all) if you have to pay the non-member surcharge. I'm not interested in grabbing more than two though; just curious to see if Costco is enforcing its own limitations

I was just at my local Costco and they had no 10 packs. Was able to purchase 5 2pks for $59.95. The cashier said the limit was 10.

Not sure if mine was a fluke, was a costco member but my membership showed expired/invalid. I clicked around a few times, it disappeared, showed up, then disappeared at final checkout.

Only cost me this much as a non-member according to my receipt

Order Total: $62.99

limit two ten packs per costco member, so if your spouse has a card you can do four ten packs unless some one learned to by pass it

No tax on gift cards and movie tickets at costco. 15.99 is 15.99. In this case, 11.99 is 11.99. Driving out to a costco also allows you to do some shopping as well so thats a plus!

Nice deal, the no tax is a nice touch for those who have to pay the non membership surcharge. Still a great price compared to $12 my local AMC charges and also it stacking with the Stubs ($10 credit every $100 spent) sweetens the deal.
