This is a good deal. But the tv alone at frys.com is on sale for $1929 plus shipping so not good for pricematch with amazon since it's not online.
I just bought this TV from amazon pricematched to newegg plus the 10% for a total of $1627 (yes, I was one of the lucky ones to get the 10% and the pricematch). Not saying this to say this is a bad deal, this is still a great deal with the bundle. What I don't understand is why there are so many retailers with this tv on a bundle with this blu-ray player and glasses for free and then amazon and newegg both have this TV for over $1800 (actually for over $2000 right now) and it's not a even a bundle. I wish I had gotten a bundle for the $1627, not just the TV, but I guess I'm satisfied with just the TV, just wish I had gotten more, true slickdealer here. I wish the free blu-ray and glasses was some kind of samsung promotion offering this instead so that the people that just buy the TV by itself, will also have a way of getting more glasses and blu-ray player for free. Updated the quantity of 3D glasses to 4. I thought they were two packs, but it is 4 3D glasses total.
Sure the Amazon deal was 'slicker' based on TV price alone- but it didn't come with the 3D blu ray player and extra glasses. I'm a bit 'scared' of having the TV shipped just from hearing horror stories, so I don't mind eating the 8.25% sales tax. |

i got this TV at 1800 from amazon during them black friday sales. Only thing that sucks is amazon does not support this tv. I dont get it???? This high end of a tv and you can't stream nothing from amazon to this tv.

LG uses passive 3d. (glasses you see in theaters). Its has its pros and cons) Sammy uses active 3d Last edited by Swolern; 01-27-2012 at 12:11 AM.. Don't forget tha REPS!

However, saying that the Sammy D8000 is 'top PQ' of the year is a pretty bold statement with the Sony XBR-xx HX929 [ full array backlit with Local Dimming and more dimming zones than the Sammy B8500 ] kills the Samsung [and pretty much ANY LED TV in the market right now except the Sharp Elite], and is at par [with occasionally better blacks  ] with the VT30!!

From Thanks Giving to Christmas this TV bundle had great deal in best buy.
They even reduced price to 1846+tax one day. I bought it for 1904 + NJ Tax - 2040 Shop Discover - 10% - $190 Best-buy Rewards: - $35 Price-match- they reduced price to 1846 one day and got a refund of $60 for the same. Costco square trade warranty: $100 2040 - 190 - 35 - 60 + 100 = $1855 |

One of those CC Discover deals or whatever may work on this deal. I don't have one, so I have no idea if there is anything to sweeten it up.
Fry's new ads this week have the UN55D7000 on special per page 6: http://www.frys.com/ads/page6 $2,229 before 'in store savings'. I have no idea what makes this special, as my 8000 deal was wayyy better. I also don't know what the in store savings are... this doesn't appear to include the 3D Blu Ray Player and extra 3D glasses. Anyone else try to cash in on the UN55D8000 deal that I got? |

I tried to order the same deal online at frys.com: UN55D8000+BD Player+2 xtra glasses
The TV is listed at $1799.00, but no mention of extras. I do not see it in today's ad either. Anyone else visit a Fry's B&M to verify deal? Fry's will likely have a 1-Day sale tomorrow too (Saturday). |

I called (never a good idea) you can get the TV for the 1799.00 but thats it.. No player no glasses except for the ones in the box.

I was told that I could PM the $1799.99 for the TV only. The extras weren't included in the PM since they aren't mentioned anywhere on frys.com.
