Amazon Prime for students expired, now what?

I used to have Amazon Prime for free using my college/university email. It expired last year. Is there a way I can get the Prime for free again? I tried the email again and it says that I have been a Prime member in the past with this email already. Am I stuck with the full $79/year?

To get another term for half off, try using the OP's link found in this thread.

1. create new account with a new email adress.
2. sign up for free 1 month trial.
3. repeat steps and 1 and 2 at end of month.
