Ipad 2?

Hey I just want to say a special thanks to all the great people who search the internet for great deals and post them on here, you rock!

As for the deal I'm trying to find it's on a Ipad 2 16GB or 23GB WiFi device. I've looked around and the best I could find a 16GB is $479 and $580 for a 32GB version. I'm hoping that as V-Day grows closer we might start to see deals on this device. Thanks in advance!

Haha, schooled. Apple barely discounted the ipad 2 for Christmas! Overall, if you want this, you're going to have to pay for it. Your best bet for a discount is combining it with some gift card deal, i.e. you were able to buy $600 Best Buy gift cards for only $500 somehow, or buy a refurb from the Apple store, but it has to be for someone who's down to earth, because it won't come in that shiny cool box. Still, Apple replaces the case, LCD cover if has ANY scratch, etc. Refurb from them really is as good as new.

Microcenter's been running their iPad 2 16GB for $449 before tax and their 32GB for 549 before tax brands new. Basically a $50 discount on the retail prices.

If you can get a local BestBuy to PM Microcenter's price and get ahold of the previously mentioned BestBuy giftcard deals, then you might save a little bit of money.

What part of "I'm hoping that as V-Day gets closer we start to see deals" did you not understand? Saying that Apple should put the iPad on sale for V-Day is no where in that post. What was written and what you thought I implied was not the same thing, not to mention I thank everyone on here for searching for deals and you try to flame me? Get a life guy seriously.

Oh and BTW the new iPad 3 should be coming out in March so I figured they would start dropping down the price for the iPad 2, crazy to think that isn't it?

Yep, a refurb is what I woud recommend as well. They won't discount the 2 until AFTER the 3 is released, so you can probably score a better deal if you can wait until March or April.

I am looking for an IPad 2 as well, and am pretty sure I am going to go for a refurb from the Apple store- for the 32 GB it is $499 with free shipping. Might see if any of the local Best Buys do a refurb for the same price with some free accessories or a floor model. Still looking around but consensus seems to be even when the IPad 3 launches the IPad 2 will only come down a little bit, and with no launch date mentioned, it could be months yet.

Any other tips looking for a refurbished 16 gm wifi ipad 2 is 300 a resonale price since “new ipad” came out?

I would think $300 would be for a refurb. but I am still finding most of them for $340. eBay has used ones going for $360+ easily so might take a little while longer for prices to come down more.
