I'm not familiar with the JBLs, but I expect that they are a great speaker set at a great price. Just be aware that they are a 5.0 system and do not include a subwoofer, which you might be able to live without, but will probably want. So understand that you'll need to spend a few hundred more for a sub or find a less expensive speaker system.

Club Onkyo does have some good deals, but Newegg has also had some great deals on new receivers, such as the Onkyo TX-NR509 for $199 or the Pioneer VSX-521 for $135 if you're on a real budget. If you spend up to $300 on a receiver, there have been many deals posted here recently. As mentioned, Newegg has had many deals on Polk speakers, which a lot of people like in the lower price range.
