It's a good deal, as long as you realize what you're getting. Part of the fun of delivering flowers is having the delivery man walk through the office with a big things of flowers making your SO's co-workers super jealous and making them think her BF/husband (you) is so awesome. Part of that allure is gone when the FedEx man drops the brown box off. That's why I personally prefer using a local florist. If the delivery doesn't matter, you can generally get fresh flowers for WAY cheaper at any grocery store. These multi-color short stem roses generally run $9.99 a dozen and many stores will have a lot on hand and discount them further. I think my local Shop and Stop (excellent floral section, btw) is running a dozen multi-color roses for $8.99 this week.

Or, if you do want fresh flowers, you can get good deals if you call up a local florist and give them a price range. Just my $0.02.
