I just took a SD card with 30 pics on it, and made copies of them over and over till it was full...

worked for me...

you can just do the SD card
Thanks for the information. I don't have access to my computer right now, or else I'd test it myself. Would just a flash drive full of pictures work, too?

You should be able to use any removable storage device.. When plugged in, choose to import using dropbox in the autorun box and watch your storage increase!

Awesome. I'll give this a try. I'm excited to hear more built-in support for photos and videos from Dropbox.

I'm wondering for you should just load non photos to reach your current limit FIRST...then load your camera over the limit...has anyone tried this yet? Curious.

Do you have to keep the files in DB, or can you remove them once you are credited with the space?

Wonder if this will work since I already have an 18GB account...

Please note the dropbox link from the links the OP provided is a referral link. Not in the SD post, but the linked post. Not a major issue, as both people get 250 meg free if you don't already have an account, but wanted to highlight.

I was able to get my computer and tested this out, and it worked fine for me. I had 16GB worth of referrals, and some other free space I've earned over the months - for a total of 18.8GB. I uploaded about 1GB of space and the space came freely from Dropbox.

Hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

Should work just fine. When you plug in a drive, you know the window that pops up asking what you want to do with the drive (unless you have chosen to have it automatically perform an action), well, after you update your client, there will be a new "Import using Dropbox" option.

Click that, and away it goes! I thought it might require it being a camera, but any removable media should work.
