Update: Use coupon code Welcome123f for $10 off bringing the total to $60
The TomTom website is selling the TomTom GO LIVE Top Gear Edition GPS for $70 (marked down from $269.95). This is "special edition" endorsed by Jeremy Clarkson, host of Top Gear (a BBC car show).
Link for $70 [tomtom.com] [Note: Valid as of 3:15pm Eastern time, 2/2/12]
Main product page [tomtom.com] also indicates free standard shipping on all orders $50 or more. I can confirm this...I was not charged shipping for one purchased this morning.
Main features include:
--5" screen [On the day of my order, the item was listed as 5". The TomTom website has been updated to say 4.3". I can confirm it is 5").]
--Lifetime map updates
Because this is a rebadged 1535M, it does come with lifetime maps. The box had insert with a code to enter into My TomTom to unlock the lifetime maps.
--TomTom HD Traffic
As others have posted, the HD traffic is free for 1 year. However, you can avoid the annual subscription by using a special car charger like this one for $69 at the TomTom site. They sell on Ebay and Amazon for between $27 and $45. Some posters have mentioned getting them in the $20 range.
--Voice Recognition with One-step Address Entry
--One year of TomTom LIVE Services with Travel Apps
Most reviews on the net are for the British version but they are helpful to understand the core features and functions. Review of the British Version [co.uk]. Some reviewers complain about the Clarkson voice. According to TomTom's forums, other voices can be downloaded to replace it. Link to TomTom discussion forums [tomtom.com]
**Note** The "Top Gear" Tom Clarkson edition is a celebrity endorsed product. The GPS was pulled from the market. The removal does not appear to be related in any way to the quality of the product. According to the BBC, "Top Gear is a show that reviews cars, there is a conflict of interest and it is potentially unethical for the show to directly profit from its partnership with TomTom, which is perfectly understandable." I thought I'd share a few thoughts on the Top Gear GPS. Quick assessment: Don't be too upset your orders were cancelled. The unit performs it's core function well....gets me from point A to point B with good directions, clear display and warnings, etc.. It finds satellites quickly. Clean interface.
Little things, however, downgrade it from a "hot buy." The screen is not calibrated very well. Touching one letter on the keyboard often enters a different letter. Moving through the menus is sluggish. It is not a snappy GPS by any means. Also, the Live Service often hangs when searching for something like a local business (despite being in a major metro area). The traffic information is not as accurate as it could be. It also has a microSD slot but TomTom has not yet activated it with a firmware update. Finally, TomTom sync software has problems. Constant disconnects when attempting to update maps, etc.
Based on my experience, I put the "value" of this GPS in the $120 range.

02/07/2012 12:00PM got this email from Tomtom saying that they have canceled my order:
We recently discovered that we had incorrectly published prices for certain products on our website. The correct sale prices for the models included in our promotion are below.
Regrettably, we are unable to fulfill your order at the incorrect prices and will be canceling your order. Please disregard any auto-generated e-mails stating that your order has been placed and/or shipped.
Please accept our apologies along with this special discount code** for an extra $20 off the already discounted price of any of the products below: Thanks ameerr
I know there's nothing to gain in this but if you want to vent, you can report this to the FBI here: https://econsumer.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
Deal is DEAD as of 5:49AM EST.
3AM Pacific: OPs' prices no longer show up at checkout, but the product pages still show the prices from earlier (too bad there's no false advertising/bait-and-switch laws for websites). Pretty much confirms the price mistake though. Almost completely officially dead.
To summarize what others have concurred, this may be a price mistake but get one anyway before it's all gone. Notice how the checkout price is exactly the amount of discount!!
And you can use this coupon code:
$10 off code: Welcome123f at the "voucher" line in checkout.
Those who want the basic versions should go with the XL350 TM instead of the VIA 1505. The XL350 TM has life time free map updates. The VIA 1505 doesnt....
Regarding HD Traffic, it is a free one-year subscription service (a part of the whole Live Services bundle). You will have to pay $60/year to renew after that. In other words, the Top Gear Edition does not have lifetime traffic update. I confirmed this with a customer rep. (and relax, he didn't know about the deal as I only asked for "technical assistance")
Here is a good run down [youtube.com] of the go live top gear edition. It clears up the debate over which product this is related to. (Spoiler: it is a go live 1535m and seems like a good product at this price)
Reps to Alexstern for the code http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=
Each order is limited to 5 units. I don't know if you can make another order on the same account/email, but if their coupon system is an indicator, you can probably make another 5 on an order using a different email.
The Welcome123f code only works to discount $10 off the entire order, and is limited to 1 per email, and tomtom leaves a cookie on your browser session if you've entered the code in, even if you haven't checked out with it yet. You can easily get around this by closing and opening a new incognito or private browsing window. Technically, you could also sign out, apply the code, then log in, and for some reason the website says the code has been activated already, doesn't show $10 off *but* still reflects the coupon in the total anyway, all the way up to checkout (I didn't want to risk it, so I cancelled and just did a different email).
Now, considering the code use and order limit (though poorly enforced by the system), it's possible if you do funny business your order might be cancelled. I'm taking the risk with mine, I did 4 orders of 1 unit each with the $10 off code on each one, using a different email address (I had 20 from the TRU Google Offers thing in December).
Even if you don't do funny business, considering the market value on this GPS and the other SD effect (clearing the shelves), you may still get orders cancelled if their checkout system isn't up to snuff.
Shipping is definitely free, but you may be taxed. Shipping will apparently be via FedEx.
Oh yeah, this is resistive screen, so no pinch-zoom like the capacitive GO LIVE 2535.
Your order have not disapearred. You are just on the wrong version of the site. Here is the correct link to check your order status. Make sure you are logged in first to make it easy then just click the link.
