Does anyone know anyway to find cheap refill cards? It seems it used to have discounted refill card on ebay but now people pay more than the face value, why? Am I the only one missing something?
For those who is using Straight Talk right now, where do you get your refill cards? |

I just tried Straight Talk with the new HTC One X I picked up and was pretty disappointed. The data connection was very intermittent. I use the voice command feature very frequently to call places and startup navigation and I'd say it did not work for me >50% of the time. Meanwhile I still have my old Atrix on AT&T simultaneously and it worked >95% of the time. Meaning I would try the Straight Talk phone, nothing. Then try my AT&T phone and get it to work. I even did tests where I simultaneously recorded my voice on both and AT&T always won. Anybody else have connections problems like this? Or is it that you get what you pay for?

Knocking on wood, but our 2 devices are working rock solid! One thing though, on my device, there are times where I have to restart it or turn on airplane mode and turn it off sometimes when the data goes slowly. |

I just need 1 point of clarification. Sorry, I have read alot of this, but did not see the answer. I have WiFi in my house & obviously we can get WiFi in many places.
If I'm connected to the internet using a WiFi connection, then am I free to do w/e I want and not worry about the 2 GB cap white using this plan? Like can I download apps, stream, or w/e since I'm connected to a WiFi connection & not using the Straight Talk 2 gb? The way I understand it is that while using any carriers plan, if you're picking up WiFi it will not eat into your data allotment. Maybe I am wrong. I know this seems like an elementary question, but I've never had a cell phone that can use internet, so I would not even know. Also, most smartphones have options to automatically connect to WiFi if its available right? That way, jumping on this plan and enabling this setting is even added protection against eating into the 2 gb cap? Thanks! Last edited by murander; 09-20-2012 at 12:05 PM.. |
