Make sure you read the T&C. You CANNOT stream video (including youtube) over mobile connection with Straightalk, you have to be on wifi. This is why I left and went to T-mobile prepaid. I can now watch any game anytime anywhere from wiziwig. T-mobile has a great new plan w/ unlimited text/web (up tp 5gb @ 4g) and 100 min for $30/mo.

I'm planning to go with Tmo prepaid as well.

I was considering this but no video restriction on unlimited data plan is just so stupid. Thanks for the heads up

I am typing on my iphone 3GS with the ST sim. I let my friend with the same phone on ATT contract compare both services, and he could not tell the difference.
Tried finding cheaper cards at CallingMart, but they do not sell cards for ST, so my price is $45 plus tax weather you get the card at Walmart or pay at their website.
I moved over from Virgin Mobile because the service with the Intercept was too spotty. Been with ST for 6 months. With home wifi, I have never gone over 50 MB in a month. Do NOT go over 2 GB in a month, or there will be.....trouble. Pay on time, or you risk having service cancelled and number LOST.
This is what we do to have a full iphone experience....w/o contract, for cheap!

Its not that you can't, its that if you do, you'll use up data very quickly and they will cut off your data. If you watch 50MB of videos a day, you won't have an issue. My general advice for people currently SIM swapping (http://wiki.howardforums.com/inde...lk_Android) on ST is to keep it within 100MB a day and 2GB a month. I've not seen anyone get kicked off when following that rule

can anyone tell me if we are an existing ST user, we can switch SIMs and transfer our number?

I have had Straight Talk in my Iphone for over a year and have been happy with my service.

That's what I'm doing too, and it works pretty damn good. I use callingmart and pay $38, i was paying more than that in tax with Verizon...

This looks like a great deal OP. Can anyone recommend an Android phone w/ a physical keyboard (AT&T would work best in my area) that would work well w/ this service? Thanks in advance!

Check section 6 of the T&C. It states, "The Straight Talk Unlimited Plans MAY NOT be used for any other purpose. Examples of prohibited uses include, without limitation, the following: (i) continuous mobile to mobile or mobile to landline voice calls; (ii) automated text or picture messaging to another mobile device or e-mail address; (iii) uploading, downloading or streaming of audio or video programming or games"

Wait what? are you allowed to even touch the phone based on those T&Cs?
