If only Odds would use it on my driveway....

Last year........i used mine 20+ times.

This year, I've used it once.

Driveway is on a ramp, would this be too heavy to push up or does it have a motor to help movement?

Some answers:

- I think my 4 year old could push this. It's not self propelled but if the snow isn't too wet, you shouldn't have an issue. Depends on if you normally get heavy wet snow.

- Not self peopelled but very easy for my wife 5 foot tall to use (easily maneuverable).

- It is not self-propelled. However, it is very light and easy to move. I have back problems and I am able to use the Snow Joe without any difficulty

You guys just need to move some where warmer.

Had this for two years and I prefer to shovel. I'm sure this works for some folks, but I would not waste my money on it. The power lacks and the unit blows the snow right back in the area you just cleared. The cord is the biggest pain in the ass and I have tried every rig to try and make it work, but to no avail. The unit has a known defect with the rear axle and the wheel assembly. The washers that hold the wheels in place fail and allow the wheels to slide to one side. I have called on the issue a number of times, have been sent replacement washers, but the replacements never hold. Last time I called they explained they had backordered the washers for 6-8 weeks because so many people had the same issue.

This is just my experience with the unit.

If you get any significant snow get a 2 stage gas model. While a great price for an electric model when you get a good snow that a shovel is not enough an electric model will not handle it either. While better than a shovel for a light snow you will be grabbing your shovel for anything more.

In other words if you live in a climate that gets real snow don't ever go electric.

Holly cow! I got this for $179.99 from same guys; was a good deal back then.

EDIT: You people who prefer shoveling go ahead; you just have no idea how to use this thing.

Last winter we had VERY deep snow here in CT, pretty much all the way to spring. I wouldn't have survived without this thing.

I don't have garage to put cool-looking gas throwers, so I used this one. Good unit. at $130 a no-brainer.

I bought mine for $189 2 year ago and let me tell you, you can beat this blower for that price, great electric snow blower
