For what its worth, I've bought a lot of used games from various companies and most of them were pretty decent looking disks with few major problems. The disks I've gotten from Gamestop were brutalized and then run through one of those 'cd repair' buffing machines. They work, but they're pretty darn ugly.

I think Gamestop has 7 day return policy on used games or can exchange games. I think its great deal if you can spend such a small amount on games and hav an option to exchange it in store

I thought they wouldnt take a disk back unless it wont play. While the ones I've gotten from them play, the disks are so heavily worked I'm afraid that even a small scratch might wreck it.

7 day return or exchange on anything used for any reason, 30 days on new unopened, opened new games only for same product if defective.

I think it is bad luck on part of the poster above..

I've bought used games for the past 15 years from Gamestop and yes, EB Games, and yes, Funcoland

and I have never been given a disc I'm not satisfied with. My biggest problems with the stores are the ones that throw away their cases and manuals for cartridge games [especially the psp and ds games]

With some PS2 games they are so old, a "used" copy will typically NOT be mint...

but I've lucked out and found near new versions of ancient games...Ganestop can be a reseller's best friend.
