seems to be a decent camera for the $58 price.
decent reviews lower reviews seems to be from people that either have no patience and/or only a "plug-n-play" understanding of computers. |

these flat ip cameras are good for putting in a windows between blinds and the glass. being since it shields them from the elements. no nighttime IR so dont have to worry about IR reflecting back into the lens. outside motion detector flood lights work good (better then IR) for nighttime recording.

I have 2 of these cameras, and a third in the same series that does infrared/low light. Fantastic products, very pleased. Have never had to reboot, six months of constant service so far.
Love the mydlink service which lets you view any of these online. I know there are other ways to do this, but I don't want to mess around with software etc. I have one set up to do motion detection and it works great, very few false positives. I just set up the low light cam yesterday (from Amazon), had it configured up and running in under five minutes. No network tweaks necessary. Last edited by stage5clinger; 02-03-2012 at 05:05 PM.. |

I have a Foscam FI8918W.. How does this compare? I really like the pan / tilt of my foscam and it works great (IR and in light conditions). The sound sucks ass but that's my only gripe..
I need another one for my other child's room and didn't know if I should get another Foscam or save a few and get this.. However, this doesn't have pan/tilt so I will probably stick with the Foscam.. |

Good camera for indoor use (minus IR) or for someone that doesn't want to deal with the setup of the Foscam cameras. No need for Port Forwarding or any technical setup with D-Link cameras, the CD walks you through setup, and you can access via the D-Link app or mydlink.com.
