Future of Netbook ?

Is this becoming scarce?

Would you miss it compared to tablets?

Thought that netbook has keyboard etc - tablets don't - cost extra.

As mentioned above it has its pros and cons compared to a tablet. I hate when I hear "can an ipad" the answer is no I don't see at the moment a tablet replacing a notebook/netbook/laptop. Anyhow I think netbooks are still great products especially affordable for now. I think the next step is having netbooks become somewhat like ultra books and maybe transforming into a tablet totally would kick ass!

In less than 2 years there are just going be tablets ranging from 7 to 12 inches that run any consumer operating system. Trust me I have done the research. A tegra 3 is a quadcore 1.3GHZ processor with 12 shader processors thats almost equivalent to a low end notebook GPU and a Discrete low end GPU. Just browsing sites like anandtech will yield the same information just look at the GFLOPS on wikipedia.

I think on next 2 - 3 years, Tablet will be use more business and office. Laptop because ultra-thin, ultra-light , rotate 360 degree, touch screen, and can transform to a tablet. Many Laptop from HP and Lenovo right now have this features.
