Per the fine print, 20,000 points can be redeemed as a "Statement Credit".
That is:
1) Charge $200 worth of purchases on the card (Each purchase has to be $25 or more)
2) Get credited 20,000 points after first purchase
3) Redeem points to make above purchase(s) free.

^^^Incorrect

1.) Make an initial purchase of any amount to receive your 20,000 points.
2.) Charge your card with a transaction that amounts to $25 or more on your card (could be this or your previous initial purchase)
3.) Redeem all points as a $200 statement credit on the transaction that was more than $25

Chase Freedom also makes you go through a similar shenanigan when redeeming reward points.



You do NOT need to redeem in $25 increments if you do it right. If your points are not enough to cover a charge, then it is true that you have to do "Partial Credit" and would be restricted to increments. Well, just make sure your charge can be completely covered by your points so you can do "Full Credit"!
