New Sharebuilder IRA
Hello,
I just opened a Sharebuilder Roth IRA and funded it with $5000 for 2011 contribution. I am not so knowledgeable about stocks but since Sharebuilder charges $9.95 per trade, I am thinking of buying $5000 worth of Coca Cola stock and just leave it like that until retirement. Then I am planning to buy another stock with my 2012 contribution.
Is this reasonable? I just don't want to spend too much $9.95 by buying different stocks.
My first post, please be easy. Thanks in advance!
