I can see why the black and white are less expensive, but I wonder why this one is $5 less than the other "burst" colors.

Did you get the Gold Protection as well ? I got it for one year, which increased the price by 27$. I think it's worth it, esp with buying Guitars online

Personally, I never go for extended warranties. I believe these already have a 3 year warranty. And if you pay by credit card, you often get extra protection free, like accidental damage or theft, etc.
