Do some reading on previous threads for NeweggBusiness.com products. I've had a NEB account for years without any tax ID number or anything.

OK, I tried to set up an account and there's a required field for tax ID. Maybe you can just put in a bogus number and they probably won't exercise their stated right to cancel orders with bogus numbers... anyway that's good info for your initial post rather than telling ppl to do some reading

Looks like there were a couple of bad ones that went out. I'd say that's definitely not the norm with this board though being that it has 522 reviews with 4 out of 5 eggs.

In reading through some previous threads, it appears most people are just putting in their SSN when asked for their EIN. Others have said they put in a random number or just "n/a." It's nice to have a NEB account already set up so you don't have to register when deals come along.

Good points:
1) ATI HD 4250 -- the best available ATI integrated (on motherboard) GPU, Good for HTPC usage but not gaming.
2) 2 PCI slots.
3) all three video connections (HDMI, DVI, VGA)

Bad points:
1) only two DIMM slots for RAM. Not a big deal with past sales of 4GB DDR3 DIMMs.
2) no PCI-e x1 slots for descrete sound card, USB 3.0 card, or TV tuner card.
3) 5.1 sound rather than 7.1

I stick to Asus and Gigabyte now. I will pay the small premium to avoid the random instability that consistently crops up on these budget boards. Just mentioning my own experience, they have all gone bad after a couple years.

It can be that easy, but it's usually not.

Honestly, I wouldn't try to put a new motherboard in an old case. Just buy a new case for cheap (my current one was $12) and put the MB in there. Then put the used CPU, RAM, vid card, and HD in your new system.

Either way, you will probably need to reinstall windows.
