This isn't the best TV for 3D, but if you care about picture quality, low input lag for gaming (main reason I went with this TV), beautiful thin design, and energy efficiency, this is the best 55" LED on the market for the price. Picked mine up no problem this morning, can't wait to get home from work tonight and hook it up.

Check out the reviews before talking smack. LG rates very high in 3D LEDs. Sony is living off past reputation and my concern with Sony is my brother has bought 2 in the past 4 years that have both failed as I'm still using my 2 LGs with no issues. Plus my LG 3D Blu-Ray blows away sony's in the +$50 price range in ratings everywhere. Keep buying your name brand Sony for alot more $$$. This isn't the 80's and these aren't tubes.

Sears has it listed for $2899, but when you add it to the cart, it's $1499.

Just called and Sears did a PM, so the savings is only like $40 (10% of the $400 difference).

However, I get 15% off Sears GCs through work...so it would make it about $954 for me OTD.

For those looking for APPS and such honestly I don't know who has the best out there. I use my TV for TV and 3D. As long as it has netflix then that's about all I need it for. Pretty much everywhere I've looked the Sony gets knocked for it's 3D and up-conversion of 3D. I've looked at the LG in store and felt the up-conversion was amazing. I've also had great luck in my LGs lasting with no issues. My brother and several employees I work with haven't had as much luck with Sony. Now since the Sony is the same sale price as the LG, I was considering it but was taking the Blu-Ray into consideration as I like the fact my 6 year old can go over to the Blu-ray, open it, and the TV automatically turns on to the right input and she just hits play. It turns itself off also. I actually have a Samsung also and love it, but can't see paying 30-40% more. To me Sony has went down in range since the 80s/90s but that's just my opinion.

Well, you don't want to get me started on Sony quaility and customer service....Because imo they suck!! My 2 yr old 55" Bravia LCD failed after 18months, and Sony said they would send me a refurbished one for $700. Yea,thanks for nothing Sony, hence the reason I am in the market, but not buying a Sony...just my 2 cents. I bought a Vizio from Costco a few weeks ago and am pretty happy with it, plus the 90 day return policy from Costco is a dream for me.
