Cowboom has some decent deals, I've bought from them several times.
Most of what they sell is used, and you can browse through a list of their available inventory with a list of the condition and included accessories, select the one that looks best to you, and then they''ll pick one completely at random and toss it into a UPS box so it's free to bounce around during shipping. I've never had the accessories they'd listed as being included show up. Half the time, they ship it overnight without charging extra, so even if you don't get what you ordered, you do get it fast. At least for me, they also pad their profits a bit by charging two and a half times the actual tax rate. When I checked, their support forum was full of people complaining about being charged excessive tax with, of course, no responses or indication that anyone from the company ever reads their complaints and questions boards. |

I just bought a phone off cow-boom. Looked brand new, had the clear stickers on the back. Called it "Used". No issues, $100+ less than craigslist. $400+ less than new.

I bought an ipod tough from there once. It was considered used but looked pretty new to me. I didn't have any problems with the product or them.
It's the gamble you take with buying something used. Just be sure to read the product description carefully. |

IIRC, Cowboom is all the returned merchandise from Best Buy that they resell as used. My understanding is that can make more of a profit on item this way vs returning them to the manufacturer for a credit (if applicable) or selling pallets / lots of it at auction. For the most part they are okay, but a lot depends on what the previous customer did to the item before they returned it.
Caution: I change my opinion more than my underwear.
