I bought C6-01 for my wife about a year ago new from Nokia. They had rebate offers, so at the end I paid about the same.
It is a good phone and has nice features, fits well in a pocket. However but the screen is smallish and the GPS (while a nice feature) gives really weird directions sometimes. On screen keyboard works well and free Swype from Nokia is great. I think $150 is not a great deal for this phone. I just checked my T-Mobile unlimited 2 lines for $50 each account and it shows that I could upgrade to a new Astound (C7) for $134 + tax + $6 shipping. If you can get it, I think that is a better deal than a used C6-01 CD тихо, не DVD меня до истерики и не USB мне мозги.

I missed out on the flipswap rebate last year, that was an excellent deal. I picked one up used from Amazon for about $190, so this is relatively a better deal.
Initially I had issues with the GPS too, but it comes with many options - try tweaking some and it may work better for you. Can't go wrong with the lifetime free map updates and voice guided navigation - both of which work offline! Unfortunately, I am on a prepaid account so the Astound (C7) upgrade is not an option for me; but yes, on a contract and eligible for an upgrade that would be a better deal. This one may be better suited to prepaid and International customers. Also, the C6-01 supports 3G on AT&T, T-mobile and international GSM providers. Yes, believe I did put that in the title. However, the "like new" or "very good" ones from "Amazon Warehouse deals" are usually indistinguishable from new.

I think it's a good deal. I'd consider this just for the GPS alone. I had OVI maps two years ago, a very good product that does not require data connection.

I still believe a huge sale is coming for all symbian handsets by end of 1Q/March due to Nokia clearing all symbian handsets from NA market. Amazon Warehouse prices are most likely part of this as the listings of "used - like new" is ridiculous for all Nokia products; there is no way people are even still ordering Nokia since all remaining future symbian products except for N8 version 2 have been canceled (which will never be launched here anyway). |

Does anyone know if this will work on AT&T network without being pinned with a smartphone data plan? I want to replace my current phone but do not want to pay for monthly data plan. Thanks

Juts call them and tell them your IMEI and say it's a Nokia 531 or wtvr number but don't specify it's an smartphone, tell them over the phone it's one of those phones that has medianet and has no touchscreen, don't ever do it at a retail AT&T store |
