How does this work with my unlimited data plan? I've only ever bought my phones directly from Verizon.
It shows the Double Your Data promotion in the details, but I want to make sure I don't get that because I have unlimited -- I want to keep everything the same but get the phone. |

It says I will get 700 minutes (what I have now) with unlimited messaging, which I don't have now. Do you, or anyone else, know how that will affect the other line on my family plan? And I have insurance on my current smartphone. It looks like Wirefly offers their own insurance. Do I have to get that one or can I keep my Verizon insurance even though I'm not buying the phone from them? Sorry for so many questions .

I'm not sure on the insurance. I would imagine you could keep the Verizon insurance since it is offered by a 3rd party anyway, but I'm not 100% sure. I did notice that this insurance does not have a deductible, and the Verizon insurance has a $50 deductible. |

"If you do not have a Verizon Wireless data feature OR your existing data feature is no longer supported by Verizon Wireless OR your existing data feature is not compatible with your new device, we will automatically provision the 2 GB Data Package for $30.00/month. Please note that Verizon Wireless will not allow customers with the $29.99/month unlimited data feature on a non-smartphone to retain that feature when upgrading." Is the unlimited plan considered "no longer supported"? |

---------- Me: I am looking at upgrading my phone and I want to make sure I will retain my unlimited data plan if I go from a 3G to a 4G phone. Also, why does it say "(personal email)". I still get data right? Me: Like for looking at webpages, Facebook, etc. Verizon Girl: Hello Meghan! Verizon Girl: Yes, if you currently have unlimited data, you will retain that with your new device. No difference between 3G and 4G as far as plans. ----------- So I don't see how it could NOT be compatible, and I did not have any problem keeping my unlimited plan when I tried going through the upgrade on Verizon's website. And I do have a smartphone currently, so the non-smartphone line did not apply to me. |
