The only thing I dont like about Windows Phone is that there is no way to back up your apps!

What do you mean, back up your apps? Isn't everything just tied to your live account so you can go reinstall at any time?

Nope, Microsoft hasnt thought that far ahead yet. I think Android doesn't have this feature either, only for paid apps. Not sure about iOS.

I have been using WP 7 mango phone for a long time, racked up many apps and linked my phone to my live account. few days back I have messed up my windows phone OS, re installed the phone OS, when I logged into my Live account on my phone, all my previous apps are intact..(just re-downloaded, when I start any previous game).

So, I am not sure what you are talking about, games back up

(as a matter of fact, you can even backup your phone data like address book etc) to the skydrive..

This is a bit OT but regarding backup:

- it is true that the app state is NOT backed up, other than during the upgrade (like OS or firmware upgrade, where Zune creates a backup of the whole device); MS has already said they will address this but I'd not expect it before Apollo release
- it is also true that it is a bit PITA to re-download all of your apps if you switch a device; but luckily there is a new app called Reinstaller (also free) that automates all of this, you can get it here: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US...6dcd84dda4
- as far as other data goes - yes, if you enable Skydrive upload for photos and sync email etc to various accounts, all of the contact and calendar info will be somewhere in the "cloud" so that will always be backed up

But long story short - the situation is not perfect now, but it will improve I am sure...

u have to make sure u setup a windows live accnt first

then, click the links for the games and u can email yourself the directions or supposdly it will allow u to download from the webpage to your phone wireless "which didnt work for me so i did the email."
