I placed an order on blue nile for a $600 vday present, i used shop runner for the free overnight shipping via fedex. About 10am i get a knock, dogs go crazy it's the usps man, for an express mail package. Supplies for home business. Anyway, around 3pm i think i decide to check on the fedex tracking... Item says "delivered left at front door authorized" So i go down stairs and look..... NOTHING is anywhere around my house, i start to wonder wtf and i call up blue nile, they ask me to look again in flower pots etc... So i do as they ask, and again nothing.They ask could someone in the house received it? No, i am only one home, i specifically stayed home the whole day because i assumed from a previous blue nile order i'd need to sign for the package. They say they are starting an investigation, around 7pm FEDEX calls me and asks did i look for the package, am i sure it's not there? i said of course i am sure, i spent 30 mins out there looking. She says driver already left and won't be back until monday to come out and "look" for the package... ummmm OK! My front door is very small area and i would know if the package was there.

Are they going to screw me? I did get an email this morning that said they are investigating and will have a resolution by valentines day. As you well know, with an important day like this, i'm really anxious. What if they wait to the last second to say "SORRY LOL"? Guess who's going to be in the dog house... I am thinking tomorrow or tonight i need to hit up a jeweler, or something.. How can i risk anymore on this special day?

And do a chargeback with your credit card company if Blue Nile doesn't make things right.

Was a signature required for delivery? It should have been, so who signed for it? I would ask to see the signature.

If someone is going to flip out over something like this and put you in the dog house it is probably time to dump them. You bought something and it didnt come that isnt your fault at all. You even stayed home to wait for it to be delivered.

If the delivery company doesnt have your signature itll be them at fault.
