Just bought one. I've been hunting for a 50 - 55 HDTV for months now. Seems like the best deal from a legit TV brand out there. Read reviews- all looks great.

I thought about buying from Amazon, but didn't want to deal with the paperwork. Said and done: Shipping was free, tax was $33.00. Total was $692.00, not bad in my opinion for a 50" plasma LG.

The TV Low Price Guarantee (the "Guarantee") applies only to TVs sold and fulfilled by Amazon.com. If you purchase your TV from another retailer (including items sold by third-party sellers on the Amazon.com site), the Guarantee does not apply.

To qualify for the Guarantee, you must first purchase the television sold and fulfilled by Amazon.com and find a lower price from Amazon.com, an eligible competitor's website or that eligible competitor's offer on Amazon.com within 14 days after the Amazon.com ship date. The lower price must remain in effect at the time your Guarantee request is verified by Amazon. Expired offers are not eligible.

Dell has free shipping

Dell lists the Model Number as 50PV450 while the one Amazon has says it's a 50PV450C. Will Amazon still honor the PM? I'd rather PM the Amazon one since I can get an extra 5% cash back with my Chase Freedom card along with not having to pay tax.

Got this from Fry's last year for $599, it's a great TV. Very good image quality. I was impressed with the thinness of the TV and the minimal bezels.

On the PM by amazon (I have never done one).
It says the price must still be in effect when they validate you request...
Are they usually quick to do so?
And if they decide to deny it will you still have time to return it?

Also, if I get it from Dell, any tips about receiving delivery? I know I have seen some people say if it comes from new egg you have to open it up on arrival and verify that it works before you sign for it or something... Is this true of dell?

Originally they told me 3-5 shipping days. I called to change my shipping address and told the guy on the phone that amazon would ship it for free with Prime. He ended up over-nighting the TV to me. So... free overnight shipping if you get lucky like me...
