This was posted last week as well..
ATT are a bunch of leeches... I understand costs go up.. but by 100%??? are you serious?? I am not in a contract right now so I will see who has the better activation fees and go with them.. |

Geez , typical ATT move , making for an even less than inviting reason to upgrade . My contract is up and Iam heavily leaning towards leaving them as coverage in my area is terrible .

 If you are in-contract...it doesn't affect you at all. Once/if you are out-of-contract...then theres nothing to breach. You just decide whether it's worth it or not to you. Either way, anyone who pays the upgrade fees straight up (w/o negotiating) needs to refine their SD skills.

Assuming upgrading fees are added to your monthly bill. Can't you call and claim you were unaware of the fees and can't afford to pay the fees. It works for activation fees.

Their statement on this matter cracks me up:
"Wireless devices today are more sophisticated than ever before. And because of that, the costs associated with upgrading to a new device have increased" Yep, it is indeed much more difficult today to pop a SIM card into a new device than it was two years ago, or add an overpriced & limited data plan onto an account. Especially when you consider that most new phones coming out are considered smart phones, so they get away with requiring data plans from people who may have never had one before and sucking more cash out of you that way. |
