*HEADS UP* AT&T changes upgrade fee from $18 to $36 - Get out of contract with no ETF fee?
Just wanted to give a heads up that ATT changed their policy and are charging $36 for upgrades starting today. Not sure if this constitutes as a breach in contract but its worth a shot if you're trying to get out.
"Wireless devices today are more sophisticated than ever before. And because of that, the costs associated with upgrading to a new device have increased"
Yep, it is indeed much more difficult today to pop a SIM card into a new device than it was two years ago, or add an overpriced & limited data plan onto an account. Especially when you consider that most new phones coming out are considered smart phones, so they get away with requiring data plans from people who may have never had one before and sucking more cash out of you that way.
