Dont understand hand held systems for grown adults?

I could kinda see it if you travel a lot or use public transit. I do neither and so haven't had the urge to get a handheld since... well, i've never actually owned one but i played the shit outta my brother's gameboy.

I travel a lot for work

I tried commuting with my PSP (I have a 40 min bus ride) and even then it never felt like enough time for a solid gaming session. I was interested in the Vita since it was being launched with an Uncharted title but after playing UC3, I'm a bit burned out on the IP in general. To me, it just doesn't quite have anything that I really want to play.

Haven't actually done any research on the Vita, can you play PSP games on it via DL?

Maybe I'll pick one up for the long ass flights for my honeymoon.

I'm hopeful for some decent FPS ports personally

i would agree...most older people have a phone and would just use that. What does the Vita have...6" screen? Cell phones are close to 5" screens, at least close to 4.5"...just get something that could hold the phone and Bluetooth in controls and you'd have the same experience.

(Not to mention he has a tablet already, haha)

Thats where I'm at Curtie...I got GTA3 on my cell phone. Thats pretty gaming on the go if you ask me

the games releasing on the Vita are vastly graphically superior than Windows/Android/iOS games imo.
Not to mention im all in for the FFX HD Remaster.

To me it just seems most JRPG studios are releasing games for handheld only because of the lower dev cost.

Btw 3ass, i just cancelled my 3G 1st Launch bundle (the 3G system + 8gb Mem card + $15.00 PSN game + 1 month AT&T 3G) that cost $30.00 and decided to just get the wifi system + buy a 16gb card.

I figured the 8GB mem card isn't gonna be enough space, as I have a 16gb PSPgo currently that i filled up, especially if im gonna load all the FF i have from PSN onto it

Then again, on launch the Vita won't play PS1 classics, so majority of my PSN library won't run on the Vita, go figure lol.

Honestly this thing looks like a lot of fun.. I just can't quite justify buying it especially since I doubt I'll have time to play

All in all I think I would really want it to just play with a new neat little gadget

just got my copy of hot shots golf from Amazon (they selling it for 29.99 as compared to everyone else at 39.99.

So far there is no playing handhelds while driving laws, so I say some of you be safe...
