Bought them just over a month ago, and I have wide ear canals for a dude, (I've owned several cheap inner-ear headphones before where even the largest set didn't make a good seal). These fit well, and the sound quality is fine but not great. Better than freebies and the cable feels very high-quality, but my PX 100s predictably blow these away in terms of sound quality. However, I can't stuff the PX 100s into my pocket when going out on the weekend for long subway rides home.

bought the cx 200 and the hd 202 II with the same "oh it's cheap, can't go wrong" mentality and basically wasted my money. sennheisers have terrible cable noise.

When connected to my PC, these ergonomic earbuds, and the 202' s have lots of "cable noise" or static or whatever. In my cell phone or tablet, there is zero noise and the sound quality is AMAZING for the $ 15 - $ 20 price range.

Check your source before declaring Sennheiser to be a bad product.

pretty sure cable noise is noise generated from physical contact with the cables themselves -- on a shirt, your neck, etc... not internally generated noise that affects / degrades the sound itself.

and thanks, op, I bought some. my wife listens to country music on pandora when she works out... on the speaker... I can't handle that.

yeah - and if they are having that - i wouldn't know what to say. i now have 4 pairs of Sennheisers - 2 over-the-ear cans and 2 earbuds. not a single complaint with any of them.

my wife also has a pair of their earbuds and likes them a lot too.

Maybe we dont agree on what amazing sound quality is. Senn's have some decent mid and highs, but I listen to a lot of dance music and like the bass to thump. CX 200 is semi decent with bass, and the HD 202 II has non existent bass in my book - sure u can hear it, but u can't feel it at all.

Used them both on my ipod, cell and laptop. I'm not a fan. Cable noise is still obvious on all sources mentioned. Untolerable when hooked up to laptop and i'm standing up/moving around. When hooked up to a laptop, you must stay perfectly still or cable noise will eat your world.

I personally think the skullcandy ink'd sounds a lot better than the cx200 (and SK is usually cheaper). As for the hd 202 II, I dont even want to use it. I thought it would be a decent pair of cans on the cheap for studio work, but I'm just going to save up for a higher end pair of headphones.
