I have ordered this book in the past and have found the book very helpful. My sears electric hot water tank caught on fire two days after the warranty ended. I called the phone number listed for sears and that day, I received a confirmation from Sears that they were sending a truck out to remove the old water tank to send it for testing in quality control, a new electric hot water tank in a larger capacity had been purchased and on it's way, and they would pay for the installer to remove the old tank and install the new. My local sears refused to discuss anything because it was past the warranty by two days. My ford escort had engine problems and I had no luck with the dealership but one phone call to the president at the corporate office, I had a new engine put in within a two week period. When using the phone numbers in the book, play arround with the last two numbers of the ten digit number.That ford corporate guy was fuming I got his office number. Even if this book doesn't help me again, I came out ahead.
