Need an suv for the family
Here's our situation, more kids on the way so we want to get an suv. And no way, minivans are out of the question. We don't care how practical they are, just can't make ourselves do it! We drive 30,000 miles per year on it, 90% highway. No snow or only a few days of snow a year. We have 2 babies now and 1 more on the way (hence why the Malibu just doesn't cut it anymore). Need room in the back for 2 strollers, groceries, etc.
- Less than $20k total with taxes. (I would prefer around $16-18k total) Will be getting a loan for about $12-14k or so.
- It is a requirement to have a 3rd row seat (and would be awesome if all back seats folded down flush so I could carry lumber etc when needed).
- 4wd isn't necessary, but would be a plus.
- Must be at least 20mpg...obviously greater is better!
- Safety ratings obsiosly need to be good.
What I've been looking at are suv's like the GMC Acadia, Dodge Durango, Ford Flex, Nissan Pathfinder, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Cadillac SRX. I prefer the bigger suv's (honda pilot just seems way too small and crammed). Any others I should be looking at or any others you guys have first hand experience with? Thanks so much!
