Looks like Astraweb has new usenet plans up! Great prices and from what I read they're the best Usenet provider around with little to no DMCA takedown!! Not sure if this is a introductory promotion or normal pricing but good deal.

I just bought a 500GB block from thecubenet for $25 the other day, maybe I'll try them out once my block runs out but 1tb seems like a huge commitment.

I've enjoyed my 1TB from urlhasbeenblocked (also $50 during promotion), but I think I'll give these guys a try too for the price.

Wonder if we're likely to see other players offer a steep discount?

They just don't get them much is all. Well not yet. As people keep advertising this fact and saying they ignore them no doubt the powers at be will change that. Anyone that does console games knows astraweb does indeed take them down regularly.

note that the 10Mb plan is slower than your max speed if you have fios or optimum online. my 35/35 fios line would now dl at less than 1/3 my max. ill stick with my $11/month truly unlimited speed astraweb plan that i currently have. Btw im very happy with astraweb and i would recommend them for any usenet user.

First rule about Usenet: Don't talk about Usenet.

I am new to Usenet and still experimenting with free trials to get my bearings. But I looked at their website, and it doesn't appear to be a promotion, rather like a new offering.

I am thinking if this be the case then it will surely cause other providers to lower price!

wow 50 bucks for 1TB looks like the new standard. that is incredible. anyone who doesn't download their isp cap every month should seriously look at these plans instead of monthly - 1 TB can get you really far if you aren't trying to download a car every day.

The 1TB plan seems to really suit me, but I currently have an Unlimited plan until March 3rd and it won't let me buy the block plan because of my current plan. I'm sure it will be gone by that time.

Right on. I thought about this plan but realized when I want to download something I usually want it right away and its less than half the speed I currently get. This is a good deal especially if you got slower internet and you plan downloads accordingly, but I'll stick with the $11 plan.

been with them for years, great tech support, even on weekends. I'm grandfathered in at $96/yr but that deal may still be somewhat alive if I can find the link. Finally got bigger tubes and it's even better. oopsie, wrong provider but still under a hundred bucks > http://www.usenetserver.com/partners/ngr/

ah hah, here is the secret link to astraweb yearly deal http://www.news.astraweb.com/spec...lhxfr2cwsw
and they take paypal but I have trouble with PP every time.
