So these ATM locations are 100% free to use? Obviously no surcharge but does AMEX charge a fee for using the ATM? I've been meaning to withdraw the money from my old amex cards but have just not gotten around to looking into the free atm's in my area so your post is very much appreciated by me.

Do you see the big red letters at the top of the Wiki? The ones that say READ THE AMEX FAQs BEFORE ASKING EVERYONE ELSE TO DO YOUR RESEARCH FOR YOU? If you bothered to do the most basic checking, you would find this information in the FAQ:

"Can the American Express Prepaid Card be used at the ATM?

American Express Prepaid Card Users can use the Card at an ATM. American Express provides one free ATM withdrawal per calendar month. Thereafter, a fee of $2.00 is assessed against the balance of the Card. Please note: ATM owners/operators may also charge their own fees for each withdrawal. The amount the American Express Prepaid Card User can withdraw depends on the available funds on the Card, but cannot exceed $200 per week.

In the U.S., you can use the Card at most ATMs to access your available funds. "

That's a joke. I went to 2 locations according to this websight and both charged $3 fees. Cardtronics was the affiliated name and even displayed it on both atms that fees exist

So is amex a memeber of allpoints network because it sounds like they would need to be to avoid paying fees.

Don't know if this is the way it would work for everyone but i found a post of someone who tried with an amex from fatwallets forum:

That is interesting. Allpoint does say on their websight they guarantee refund of the fee for members of their network. But there is no way to find a list of these members on the websight.

I did cancel all my cards (that I got from previous offer) last week...

So I haven't been caught up with this thread. I can fund it when I order the card right? And get the gift card? And besides the code working, is there a way to find out if you will get the gift card?

Yes, you can fund it while ordering the card, with a checking/savings account. Or it can be loaded with cash after receiving the card. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing whether you will get the card or not, besides waiting. Just make sure you use the correct promo code, and then wait 4-8 weeks.

Alright. Hopefully I get the card, otherwise, eh, I've just got 25 bucks in a prepaid AMEX card lol no big deal.
