Bingo.

Now the question is whether canceling old cards then reordering new ones will still raise red flags or will go through without issue.
I did 3 cards the first time around a few months ago, applied for 3 more and got the rejection letter.

But did you cancel the first three cards before ordering new ones?

If so, when did you cancel them - a couple of days ago or weeks ago?

I'm just trying to paint a bigger picture for the deal so that people can know how it works.

I didn't cancel them...is there even a way to? not sure.. But I mean they have your social, name, address, etc so it shouldn't be too hard for them to figure out if you did the promo before or not..

So the free $25 they send you is a separate gift card, and you end up with two cards with $25 on each?

That isn't as great a deal then, because its a pain using these cards to buy anything as it is (due to the fixed limit). Why wouldn't they just add the free $25 to the prepaid card you ordered?

Or am I wrong about this.

I'm not disputing they can be a pain, so I limit my use to buying even amounts of gas with these.

Pain? Not really. Go to Wal-mart, buy groceries, tell cashier that you want to charge $25 to card...swipe...gone...throw in trash.

I've never had a hard time using these up in one time increments.

Well, there are really only two options here. Obviously, if you don't cancel, your request is rejected.

Why not just cancel your cards and try? What's the worst that could happen?

I'm willing to bet you will be declined. They will have your Card Purchaser information on file.

I ordered three, and so far two have been canceled under "We could not verify your order information and cannot approve your order at this time."
I never had any Amex prepaid card before, so I'm not sure what's going on.
