Wireless Laser Jet printer - Recommendations

BUMP... I too could really use any experts insight on a new laserjet for a small business.

We currently use a Kodak ink jet printer which is just so-so for printing invoices and does not seem to look very professional.

Please if anyone out there can recommend a good laser printer for under $300 or $350 it would be very much appreciated.

OK - here's my $0.02:

Well, first, if you don't have a wireless network why are you looking for a wirelss printer? I'd recommend a printer with a LAN connection (not a wireless connection) - just plug it into your LAN and then in the event that you ever DO install wireless, the wireless clients will still be able to see the printer on the LAN.

I'd recommend an HP workgroup B&W laser printer. Your print volume is very small, but you need something reliable. I would NOT recommend color, inkjet or a multifunction device - all are expensive & more prone to failure than laser. If you need occasional color, send it to Kinkos or keep your current inkjet aside as a second printer.

HP makes excellent quality printers that will last forever, and as a nonprofit, you can almost certainly pick up a donated printer from somewhere - check craigslist or ask around big companies. At that point your only cost is paper & toner, and with your volume you'll replace the toner maybe once or twice a year.

BTW no need to worry about operating temps - if it's OK for a human to work, it'll be OK for a laser printer to print :-)

Although my business needs to print invoices with color to look like we are a real business and we have color images as well as items in color on the invoice.

Perhaps you can also suggest a color laser printer that is in the same range as the monochrome that you earlier suggested.

I currently have an HP laser 2035n (or something like that- it's about 8-10 years old) but I don't need more monochrome printing-
