For Android, if you download the MLB At Bat Lite app, you can log in with your mlb.tv login and get all the TV and audio streaming for free.
How to bypass blackout restrictions for PC and android:
First and foremost.. how blackout restrictions work... MLB.tv uses your either your ip address or gps on android to locate where you are watching your game. If you are in the vicinity of where it is being played, it will block you from watching it. It has nothing to do with where the account was activated or what address was used on the account.
On PC, its as simple as installing the VPN's software and choosing a different location other than the one the game is on. It will assign an IP address that will allow you to watch MLB.tv blacked out games.
On Android, you have to either use an app like OpenVPN and follow your VPN's instructions to setup.... or download your VPN service dedicated app like the one found here(for the above slickdeal): https://play.google.com/store/app...ss.android . Also, you will have to make a few setting adjustments. Enter Settings/Location Settings and turn on "Use wireless networks" and turn off "Use GPS satellites" and "Location and Google search". This disables Google Maps pinpointing your location and forces MLB.tv to use your ip address to verify your location. Start your VPN app first, then the MLB.tv app.. then sit back and enjoy.. BTW, this works for either Wifi or 4g bounce

i bought the mlb.tv subscription last year and really liked it. there were a few times where the connection kept dropping and that was frustrating but all-in-all i liked the service. the video is pretty good (like any game on espn3) and it was cool to get home and start a game at 10pm and watch like it was live. i'll probably purchase again.
what's up with this app? i don't have an iphone but i'll be getting an android phone soon. do they have the app for android or your you guys speculating that it will come out? does it play video or keep stats or what? i guess i'll google...
the OPs price is from an email sent to folks who purchased a subscription last year so i think you do have to be renewing. there's no discount code so they probably check to see that you paid last year to get the big $5 discount.
yes, they are. you only get audio for games in your local market. mlb.tv is best for those who follow an out-of-town team (or just like baseball in general). i've had it for the past 3 or 4 years now and love it. i can watch in HD on my tv at home, on any computer, and now that At Bat is going to be free, anywhere on my phone and tablet.
