I purchased their phase a/r zip and find it to be the best wicking mid-weight i own. As with any work-out gear, i can overwhelm it with sweat, but this dries very quickly for a mid-weight. Hoping this lightweight handles the same way.

There is very little difference between Arc'teryx products made in China versus Canada and elsewhere.

If there does end up being a problem, REI is really good on returns/exchanges.

ill pass. im all about technical fabric but that sounds like marketing drivel, and is probably the same polyester wicking fabric that you can get for $10 at target

Nah Arcteryx makes legitimately good clothing. I have a similar shirt from them (not sure the material) but it works fantastic.

i'm no textile expert, so i'm not saying the statement is true, but it doesn't strike me as inherently contradictory. wicking can be a surface and geometry property. glass wicks water very well but absorbs none of it.

Not exactly.

The phrase is equivalent to "Phase fabric facilitates moisture evaporation while retaining very little within itself."

The terms are not mutually exclusive as they describe different attributes.
