Best Low-Risk Return Options
I know this has been discussed in varying degrees on the board - but I'm wondering what the best options are for low-risk returns (preferably, but not necessarily, keeping your money accessible if needed). I currently have around 30k in a .83% money market account with ally bank, and would like to try to add another $1,500 each month. Ideally, I'd be very happy with 4-5% return - with little risk.
I've seen discussions of credit unions in other threads at 3-4% - but I couldn't find anything close to those numbers - is there a good search tool for this?
I also saw discussion of "Vanguard ETFs like VTI, VEA and VWO" - which I understand are index funds (investing a little bit in everything) - but I'm not sure the best way to go about purchasing these - and it seems like there are an incredible amount of different types of ETFs.
Thanks!
