I got these on the previous deal and was not impressed at all, decent bass but muffled sounding and no mids or highs. Had to really crank up the highs & mids in the EQ and tone down the bass and still couldn't get it to sound clean. Don't get me wrong, I've had the 497's for years and love them and they are still going strong, these however are a cheap knock off IMHO which I got for work, but about all they do is fit around my desktop case collecting dust while I go back to my cheap Sony in ear which sound way better than these do. Professional headphones, lol...

a definitely no-no if you wear glasses

I listen to a lot of dance music with driving bass and I am not too thrilled with these headphones.

Im not sure what people are complaining about with the heavy bass. I never listen to rap or anything and they sound perfect. I tried some higher end headphones and ended up going back to these. The perfect vanilla headphone, imo.

PS. I recommend someone segregate the "tech" category into a few different ones, its way oversaturated.
