HEADS UP: Citibank reporting "free" airline miles to IRS as income for opening checking / savings accounts!
Heads up to everyone taking advantage of AA miles Citibank checking/savings offers!! (at this time, I am not aware of CC offers being in the same boat):

In other words - take 40,000 miles, get reported to IRS for $1000 of income you will have to pay taxes on.
This could be wrong forum for this but those deals go to hot deals frequently so I figured people should know...
