Depends on the delivery guy. I was waiting to sign my last purchase from lenovo of a 12 dollar laptop bag and I was just sitting on my couch and heard a loud bang from my door. Come to find out the delivery guy just tossed it at my door and left, even though it had a fine print of "Requires Signature". Was quite funny... but yes I assume most follow the procedures and require a signature.
