amazes be that these and brands like BIC actually make decent sounding speakers at such a low price point. i remember back in the 90s when low cost speakers were just garbage

You would be crazy to pair the BIC F12 with a soundbar IMHO. It is more for full blown 5.1(2), 7.1(2) setups. |

I bought one of these a few months ago for $79.99 at PC Richards (the price was $89.99 on Amazon back then too). It is MUCH bigger than the subwoofer that came with my home theater system. I had no idea it would be THAT big so check the dimensions and make sure you are okay with them. The sound is ok but I'm no audiophile.

Monoprice has a great sounded 12" sub comparable to much more expensive subs psw110(not the model in this thread) at a sub $100 price point. It's really a gem for the price.
Purchased one of these(PSW10)for my brother and am disappointed every time in comparison. |

I would think about it...but it really doesnt have very good frequency response...If I were to buy a subwoofer sub 25hz would be a requirement.....this thing only goes down to 35 hz

Yes, this will be a good addition to a soundbar. So will any subwoofer. If you have a soundbar due to space restrictions, that's totally understandable. You can tuck the subwoofer into a corner of the room and it will provide some oomph to your sound.
