I've been learning guitar for about a year & I've been using a cheap electric. Is it a good idea to switch over to a big old dreadnought that a small guy like me will have a hard time wrapping my arms on?

Eventually Washburn will get their back inventory cleared out, so I wouldn't expect them forever. But then again, these deals have lasted longer than I expected. They must have a huge warehouse full of old inventory.

The Dean you link to isn't in the same league as the Washburn. It's an entirely different type of guitar, for one. The top of the Dean isn't solid spruce, while the Washburn is. Also, in my experience the build quality and sound of the Dean are inferior to Washburn (although that may no longer be true now that Washburn has been sold).

I agree with this. I also just bought a gs mini. It was for my mother who wanted a smaller guitar with full size sound.
I believe that it's a nice guitar for the price.
The only problem is finding a place that accepts coupons on taylor guitars - basically not going to happen online.
Although, I was able to use a 15% off coupon from music123 by purchasing over the phone.

Sorry for the extended long winded post / threadjacking.

If I didn't just buy the taylor I might be all over this.
