If Market gives you "XXXX App" could not be downloaded because of an error. (-101)
Do this:

1) Go to Settings > Apps > ALL > Market. Click Force Stop. Click Clear Data (say yes to any prompts). Click clear cache.

2) Reboot.

3) Try to open market again. Agree to terms.

I started to be happy with my tablets and suddenly one of them started doing a weird noise and reboot. This time passed the first page and when i clicked the button to go to apps, it reboot again. At last I only got the android icon in my display. I contacted MCBub who send me the following email in case you are interested:

Since 4.0 seems to be a little sluggish and buggy, you can downgrade to 2.3.4. http://en.ployer.cn/Downdetail.asp?ID=58

What case did you buy?

This one from McBub.com [mcbub.com] (at the same time I ordered the Momo8).
Was it any good?

Have you pressed the reset button with a paper clip? That may help you out.
The brightness was set to black and the solution was to re-flash. Crazy.

For the money I thought it was worth it. It's not super-protective - if you dropped it on the floor it might help a little, but it's not like an Otterbox case or anything. But it was nice to cover it up like a light iPad case.

Given that Cowboom has had the HTC Flyer for $169 or less over the last week or 2, I'd rather have it. I may buy one the next sale they have.

The HTC Flyer, is better than this tablet, don't know anything about blackberry playbook.

Now with that said, no way would I trade my MOMO8 for a HTC Flyer, I own two HTC phones and two Samsung phones, I will never buy a tablet from either company.

HTC being to worst to lock down their androids and the worst to upgrade them, Samsung coming in next to HTC on worst to upgrades and lock downs on android devices.

I have never seen android company so open and so many updates, new one out today, Ployer beats all companies on this.

Thank you for your answers. I'm glad that I made the right decision for buying the flyer and the playbook. I paid around $150 for the flyer and $120 for the playbook. Both tablets came with all accessories and brand new look, no scratch at all. Wow this momo tablet is running ICS. Hopefully we can root Ice Cream Sandwich android for the playbook soon. So we can install all the android apps we needBig Grin

Anyone have any tips for optimizing the settings in the web browser for faster surfing? I've tried the stock android browser and dolphin browser, and both browsers take so long to respond, the OS asks if I want to wait or close it. When I wait, the page eventually loads, but only after about a minute or so.

I can't say that I remember the browser being this slow when I was running 2.3.4, I only noticed after upgrading to 4.0.3. The tablet itself is running fine, everything is fairly snappy and responsive, but lately I've just been noticing the browser becoming more unresponsive almost unusable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

I got what I paid for and I am happy with the momo8. I stuff it in my satchel and don't mind if it gets scuffed up or scratched. Kids can play with it and they don't care if it is not a retina display. Angry birds works fine.

I ran into the same problem with the black screen. Stupid Auto contrast was right next to the slider for adjusting brightness to NIL. So, one tap and another tap somewhere else and screen goes dark. Some forum mentioned using a bright LED flashlight in a dark room and that worked for me after some experimenting.

Lay the tablet on flat surface in a dark room (vanity counter top in bathroom without windows) with the switch away from you. Bend over the tablet and look at it from an angle towards yourself (like a vulture). Shine the flashlight at about the same angle, as your eyes, towards tablet and yourself. Turn the switch on and adjust the flashlight angle or your head until you see the faint image of the tablet icons.

Hello I am new in this forum I am writting from Spain so be pacient with me english Wink.
First of all thank you to be there, because here in Spain nobody Knows this tablet and it is very dificult to solve problems. I received yesterday me MOMO8 BUSINESS EDITION with ICS 4.0. I check the tablet and I found a mistake in the secction settings, when I press screen come one message and say the aplicattion will shut down, it happens any time you press SCREEN. So I have two options change the tablet ( If mcbub want) or reinstalling android. I have read all the post from the members, and I think I can do it but I have some questions.

1- I have read that the recovery aplicattion is used to make backups of the data and backups of the operative system, so if, as I read, the recovery does not work in this version (4.0) of android , how i can do it?

2- If I will succeed, and I get android 2.3.4, can then used, in the future, the recovery aplicattion to change to ICS 4.0.1.

3- The recovery tool is just this, or it has inside the operative system (android)? Or should I download it from anywhere and put it in to the micro SD?

4- Can someone tell me the right steps I have to follow in order to change from 4.0 to 2.3.4? Tutorial would be better. or refer of the tutorial.

5- If I do this change of version, I will fix my problem the option SCREEN in settings?

Thank you for your time

I will be here avery day learning of you!! :good:

Anyone else notice you have to tap the screen kind of hard sometimes to recognize what you're trying to do? Frustrating sometimes.

This is my first tablet and I know it was under $150, but I compared it to a Kindle Fire this past weekend. When I tapped on the Fire's screen it was WAY easier to use and didn't have to tap nearly as hard for it to recognize what I was doing.

Ragonfe, I think if you put ICS 4.03 you will like it much better. I just upgraded mine and it is like night and day.
