If Market gives you "XXXX App" could not be downloaded because of an error. (-101)
Do this:

1) Go to Settings > Apps > ALL > Market. Click Force Stop. Click Clear Data (say yes to any prompts). Click clear cache.

2) Reboot.

3) Try to open market again. Agree to terms.

I started to be happy with my tablets and suddenly one of them started doing a weird noise and reboot. This time passed the first page and when i clicked the button to go to apps, it reboot again. At last I only got the android icon in my display. I contacted MCBub who send me the following email in case you are interested:

Video on how to reflash http://you.video.sina.com.cn/b/71...49525.html

Firmware 2.3.4 Download

Since 4.0 seems to be a little sluggish and buggy, you can downgrade to 2.3.4. http://en.ployer.cn/Downdetail.asp?ID=58

It's actually a Cortex A8 with a Mali 400 GPU. The chip architecture has been around for 3 years:

http://liliputing.com/2011/12/all...akers.html
Mali-400 is on par with Samsung SGX540VR Graphics Processor.
ARM Cortex A8 architecture has actually been around since 2005, if you want to get specific.
It's what companies have DONE with the architecture that is new.
AllWinner pairing the Mali-400 with it and creating a chip that clocks up to 1.5Ghz and selling it at razor thin pricing is what makes the NEW A10 chip interesting.

Not how old the architecture is.

No 1024*600 resolution? Seems like a good tablet tho. Evo-IC, can you compare this tablet with the Ainol Elf? Deciding on picking one of the two up.
Sure.
I owned the Elf for 2 days and then eBay'd it.
Everything on it is in Chinese, it wasn't compatible with half the crap I tried, and it can't touch this MoMo8 tablet in my opinion.

One upside, the Elf WAS a fast tablet.
Just fast and sort of unusable in it's current state.

I was thinking of using this for my home camera surveillance system. I want to mount this on a wall with some brackets and be able to view and control my cameras from this device. The camera (foscam) is controlled by a website and the video is displayed in 640x480. I also want to control my x10 devices as well... and of course a bunch of other stuff that I know it can handle.

Does anyone see any problem trying to accomplish those tasks with this tablet?

Ahh thanks, Im pretty sure after downgrading to 2.3 or some Market scripts the ELF can run almost anything.

Anyways Ive always been a fan of your threads! Its always amazing to see how these Chinese tablets advance with every other thread you make. Big Grin

I have no friggin' idea, whatsoever........all I know is that when you hook all of that up, we DEMAND pictures to be posted for us Slickdealers to see what that looks like.
Repped x's 4 for being waaaaay more into getting your money's worth than the average Joe.

Dude. You're telling me.
Each time I get one, it's like renting it, because if I get one that I don't like, I can sell it to someone else for a profit that thinks it's amazing.
I tend to be a bit picky and specific about what I want and this MoMo8 checks all the boxes for me.

I was pleasantly surprised.

I've probably tried my luck with 4 different 7" tablets since my son broke the other 8" version I had and I just couldn't find one that I liked as much and kept looking for another 8" form factor.
Something great about that size, it's the perfect Aspect ratio for viewing web pages and ebooks and watching movies, in my opinion.
More like a box shape than a candy-bar shape like most.

Haha that must be the Evo-IC way, if youre not posting up a deal on tablets you must be selling a tablet to someone elsewhere lol.

Well thats good you found one you like, might just go with this one because of the 8in form factor, just to try out something different. Ganna look for some folio cases now...

You nailed it.

Here is what I use: Case with keyboard [mcbub.com]
If you don't need / want the keyboard, this is fine too: Cheap 8" case [mcbub.com]

McBub is pretty good about shipping your items together if you order together, so that they both get there quick instead of the tablet coming by Monday and the case getting there in 2014.

They generally ship same day.
I've never had an order take more than 24 hours to ship from them and I think I've had to have bought at least 5 times from there....probably more.

I post almost exclusively McBub tablet deals because most of the rest of them are $hitheads and McBlarglefargle has never let me down and dropped the ball on my order.

Everbuying, and a few others have been absolutely horrible when I've tried buying elsewhere in China.

Haha.
You were inconsiderate, so I called you out.
At least I kept my half of the conversation private.

Does all of that gibberish below your post say, "I'm super bitter about nothing and can't figure out why?"

Relax, it's good for you.
I was having fun with you and still am.....you'll be fine.

p.s. Please explain back-and-forth spam. What does that even mean?

Double the internal NAND Flash storage, 8GB vs. 4GB.
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich vs. Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
8" vs. 7".
Better resolution Camera.

Those are the main differences that I see, upon first glance.
If those features are worth at least $20 to you, then definitely yes.

*Looks to also have a smaller battery and does not come with the Real Google ANdroid Market, instead something called 1Mobile Market that I'm not familiar with.
