If Market gives you "XXXX App" could not be downloaded because of an error. (-101)
Do this:

1) Go to Settings > Apps > ALL > Market. Click Force Stop. Click Clear Data (say yes to any prompts). Click clear cache.

2) Reboot.

3) Try to open market again. Agree to terms.

I started to be happy with my tablets and suddenly one of them started doing a weird noise and reboot. This time passed the first page and when i clicked the button to go to apps, it reboot again. At last I only got the android icon in my display. I contacted MCBub who send me the following email in case you are interested:

Since 4.0 seems to be a little sluggish and buggy, you can downgrade to 2.3.4. http://en.ployer.cn/Downdetail.asp?ID=58

I have a hunch he was talking aboout us two.

If so then ill say that we are not spamming this page. Im just asking honest questions from an honest person.
Bah.
Don't sweat people like that.
I camp out in my threads, it's common knowledge that when I post a deal, I stick around forever.
I post deals on items that I've purchased with my hard-earned money and if someone has a question that helps them decide whether or not to spend their hard earned money - I'm happy to answer.......trolls and all.

It's not exactly like people have money falling out of their pockets and people come to Slickdeals to find DEALS to get the most bang for their buck.
I don't want to recommend something and then have them find out that it doesn't play their super-floppy-funtime app that they have to have, and then feel like they wasted their cash.

I'd rather just sit here and answer questions if I can.
Who cares if it looks like back and forth?
People get wound up about the strangest things. Cool

EVO-IC, please stop private messaging me. You and your spam buddies can do your back-and-forth spam to boost up this page, but please don't bother those of us who knows you too well. Cheers!

(BTW -- "A quick check?" I haven't posted in this thread before now. How did you know to check my profile since the TDs are anonymous (unless you know whose profile to check)? Ohhh, stalking.)

Also - I have a deal alert for "ICS" and "tablet"; and the TD is because McBub is a bad merchant. Don't take it personally.

Have you ever heard of Slickdeals Live Feed.
Check it out. Good stuff.

He messaged me too, there should be a rule against stalking the live feed and harassing anyone who dares to thumb down their thread.

My message to Kiev:

The Hatchet

I thought it was buried and I turn around to find out, it's in my back?

Wha??

laugh out loudlaugh out loud

Your thumbs down hurts.

Deep inside.

You don't like my post?

5 people received a PM from me, because I happened to see it while checking out the Live Feed Beta.
3 of the people I know from private conversations, including you, who I thought I would have a little fun with.

Your definition of, "harassment" is pretty loose.
People on Slickdeals are uptight these days?
What gives....

Yes, Ployer has the MoMo11 model which is 9.7", but the price is pretty high.

I think the Zenithink C91 is a better buy for the money, personally.
It's pretty sleek and doesn't break the bank.
That one comes with Android 4.0 as well.
Check that one while you're doing your research.

It's perfect.
It's sized like a sheet of paper, which is why the 8" 4:3 ratio tablets tend to be my personal preference.

Yes but I've never used Android other than on my HTC Incredible... Is there good PDF annotator software for ICS? Also at 8" it may be slightly too big to fit in my oversized coat pocket... maybe i need a 7... nice deal though, reps for the deal and you being so willing to answer questions.

I'm about a 0 on a scale of 100 when it comes to knowledge of .pdf annotators for Android devices.
Let me check my tablet and get you a measurement and then you can decide for yourself.

Thanks for the reps.

*Edit: 8.4" wide. Exactly 6" tall. 1/4" thick....no, that's not a typo....it's thin and sexy.
If the dimensions are a bit too big for the pocket, the 7" version of this tablet is the Ployer MoMo9, HERE [mcbub.com]
I've never used that one, but it looks to be about the same animal in a smaller form factor....the forums say that one has 4.0 now as well.

p.s. Check out the HDMI video sample in the 7" link!!! That's awesome.

so hardware and build wise how do you think thise compares with name brand 7" tablets... is it a compromise for the price type of deal or does it give them a run for their money?

Yes, to all of the above.
As noted earlier in the thread, Ployer is very much a name brand in China and not a, "knock-off" version of something else.
They have their own facilities, their own R&D, their own labs, their own marketing in Asia, etc.
Quality device, considerably better built than my former 8" AiShuo A816, which I thought was a tank, at the time.

See above.
The 7" model now has Android 4.0 as well.
As for the pricing, no clue.......if I could guess that, I wouldn't have spent $175 on mine.
See the video in the link for the 7" tablet here for an idea of how HDMI works, it's cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cd...r_embedded

i think i'm going to just pull the trigger... if i really want a 7" tablet in the future there are tons of those on the market... 10" is bigger than my needs so this 8" is kind of a novelty and sounds like perfect size for what i need. my final 2 questions:

do you think the case without the keyboard is quality? i dont mind paying a couple of extra bucks but i do want a pretty sturdy and nice yet slim case.... without a keyboard.

can i share the internet from my htc incredible phone via bluetooth so i could surf on this 8" tablet using my phones internet?

The 8" case I've personally used and is sturdy because it is firm leatherette type of tuff, not exactly supple leather.
The upside is that it protects the case pretty well, and it is suede on the inside (or, suedette...heh) and soft against the tablet itself.
I had no issue putting my $180 AiShuo 8" tablet in there and it never once had a bump or something damage it.
It took my 5 year old stepping directly onto the face of the tablet to kill the AiShuo, and that was out of the case.

As for the Bluetooth link, no, I don't believe tyou'll be able to tether it...but you want to play it safe with that stuff anyways.
Sometimes the carriers slap you hard if they find out that you're tethering on their data line for your phone and switch your plan. Google it for nightmares.

If you get it use it, and hate it - then you just made yourself $50 profit flipping it on Craigslist.
