I have both the VS247H-P and VS248H-P. The VS247H-P doesn't have speaker out jack so sound will depend on the onboard or sound card. The VS248H-P have a speaker out jack so you can plug your speaker/headphone. Image quality is just amazing. Extremely recommended. Don't go for the Acer front page.

Great monitor
In for one... Bought two of these bad boys back before Christmas when they were $150... Adding another to make all three of my monitors consistent. Thanks for posting this deal, was waiting for them to come back down in price again! Be forewarned though these monitors are super bright out of the box, might need to dial down the brightness some if you have sensitive eyes!

I was wondering if I may ask a quick question for people who own this screen, or moreso a general question about backlit LEDs.
Do they admit less light in dark rooms? I currently have a 22" acer I am looking to replace because there's some bleeding and it really makes the apartment very bright at night--to the dismay of people who are trying to sleep! --SPACE FOR RENT: luxurious signature space for rent. Includes space for smilies, different fonts and font colors, bold, italic, and underline font augmentations, linky ability, and many other features. If interested, please pm doublegunsstk.

There is also something that it features called "ASUS SPLENDID VIDEO INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGY" which has a "night view" function. I'm not sure what that exactly means, but I'll try it and let you know. |

How would this monitor compare to the 23 inch acer monitor that is on sale for 110 dollars at newegg, while gaming? Such as bf3 and star craft 2?
