good enough for every day household needs
Hey Everyone,is a 12V battery good enough for simple house hold needs, like drilling into drywall to hang a TV or install handles on cabinets, things like that. I don't own any drills and need one for 1st home. Do I need to go 18V+? |

Will this impact drill drive screws through studs w/out even needing a pilot drill?
Really want a powerful impact driver (preferably dewalt) but can't get over the massive prices for them...I know I know, you get what you pay for... |

Sears really seems to be pushing this line of cordless tools with all of the deals they are tossing out lately. Makes me think they are trying to clean house for a new line up. Or just trying to get sales up so they don't have to shut down any more stores.

You can use your screwdriver and a screw to get through drywall. I tried using my 7v last night to get through the stud though, and It just wasn't powerfull enough. Is this 12v powerful enough?

What the heck... I want that driver even though I had to pay $15 in tax and shipping. I guess I could have picked it up but time & gas is worth more than $10.

Probably a dumb question, but other then getting extra bite on screws perhaps, what is the purpose of an impact driver? TIA
