yes, they said it was because i had some derogatory accounts on my credit report. from my understanding they do pull your credit report, they do a soft pull.

you are right about the CHEX system. i had a friend get denied for owing another bank. i'm positive my CHEX is clear, but i still got denied. i think they are being pretty selective on who they let in for the promotion.

It really does. But I'm so leary. Last time I got a free giveaway from a bank it was some tupperware.

And it's more like login, go to work and set up at least $250 direct deposit (enough for 3 of your bills), wait for direct deposit to kick in (usually 2 pay cycles), pay said 3 bills. wait 2 months and then receive fire.

Does that sound about right OP?
