Apply for an account online using the link to the left or by visiting a local branch. Then, stop using your current bank's deposit account. Be sure to leave sufficient funds in the account until all outstanding checks and automatic payments have cleared.
STEP 2 - Change your Direct Deposits and Automatic Payments.
Print and complete the forms below and bring them to a Fulton Bank branch. We'll handle everything from there!
Automatic Payment Authorization Form
Automatic Deposit Authorization Form

STEP 3 - Close Your Former Bank Account.

Kindle Fire FREE w/checking acct - DE, NJ, PA, and VA
Live somewhere that's serviced by Fulton Bank?
They're offering a free Kindle Fire for signing up for a checking account. Unlike the last Kindle/bank post, you don't need a $10,000 deposit for the tablet. All you need:
1) Sign up for a checking account. Any one that they offer.
2) Sign up for direct deposit of $250 within 60 days.
3) Pay three bills using automatic bill pay within 90 days.
4) Get yourself a free Amazon Kindle Fire.
I signed up in-person this morning, and after asking about the promotion, the man there simply entered a promo code in along with the rest of my information. Easy as that. Credit goes to pelo for finding this. It was posted in another thread, but since the title specified a different bank, different states, and a different version of the product, this seemed like it could use its own thread.
I went in to sign up for my account, and happened to be wearing a shirt with our company logo on it. Turns out Fulton is actually our financial adviser (I should probably know these things), and I was eligible for an account with some little perks.
On top of that, I had a wait a little bit for a computer glitch to clear up, and while I was extremely friendly and patient the whole time, they gave me a gift card for a restaurant down the street as a "sorry" gift.
I'm so glad I put off opening an account with a local bank after I moved here!
Did anybody complete all the prerequisites yet? I just did today and am wondering if I should expect a "congrats, your kindle is on it's way" e-mail or letter... or do I just have to wait 8 weeks?
Unlike credit cards, where you can get rewards on the statement after filling prerequisites, my experience with banks is that they will make you wait out the entire eligibility period (in this case, 90 days) before they issue a reward.
